Since our founding in 2016 as a Canadian company, we at GuildTree Technology Inc. have been working developing technology platforms to assist local resilience—in the face of unfolding multi-dimensional and global crises. Through our division GuildTree Global Languages Services, we provide professional management of multilingual translation projects.
David de Weerdt is GuildTree's President and primary consultant.
Current consulting roles:
Catalyst and Founder of the Local Climate Bank Working Group, an initiative under development in Canada and Kenya. We are developing a platform enabling householders to invest for impact and return in their own communities. The goal: to help stop climate change and to reverse biodiversity loss, while making communities more resilient.
Recent consulting roles:
Global Network Lead, Open Source Medical Supplies (2020 ) where he developed the team and technology partnerships for multilingual translation in more than a dozen languages, and supported OSMS’ global partnerships with peers in countries around the world. OSMS supports local makers and local medical workers fighting COVID-19 with the critical information they need.
In his past David has been twice a CEO: for now-defunct
social media platform Sceneverse, and for rural wireless internet service provider Everus Communications. He is also a long-time community organizer around democracy issues.
